Twenty-eight
Yesterday, I turn 28. The first mail, of two, that I received, was this:

Either John C. Dvorak is right and e-mail is dead, or my social life sucks ass.

Untitled (how does it feel)
Being male and like this video got to be the second gayest thing ever. Hard to admit, but I have to say that I really love it, both the music and the visual idea and realization.
What is the gayest thing, you wonder? Of course, this.

Production
The music video for “Untitled (How Does It Feel)” was directed and produced in one day at a soundstage in New York City by music video director Paul Hunter and Dominique Trenier, D’Angelo’s manager at the time. The project was originally designed as a part of Trenier’s promotional strategy to transform D’Angelo’s image and public appeal. On the concept of the video, Trenier later stated “the idea was, it would feel like one-on-one with whoever the woman was.” D’Angelo, who had been under intense physical workout with personal trainer Mark Jenkins, was initially anxious to appear naked for the video after hearing Trenier’s proposal. In an interview for Spin magazine, Jenkins later discussed D’Angelo’s reluctance to the idea, stating “You’ve got to realize, he’d never looked like that before in his life. To somebody who was so introverted, and then, in a matter of three or four months, to be so ripped-everything was happening so quickly.”
